"Maku'u Cliffs" 2018. When taking this shot I risked exposing my camera to high surf and salt water. While there I took three exposures of this composition, each time I had to brace myself and shield my camera from the white water rushing past my legs and splashing over me. I had very little time to rest my tripod and recompose before the waves withdrew so I could capture this image before the next swell came. After my three exposures I was soaked and unsure if I got the shot but I had to get away from crashing waves before the next set came. I ended up liking this image you see here. Settings & Gear
